THE CARD-MAKING GUIDE
Make a card.
Make someone’s day.
Join Jeemin for a simple, thoughtful way to turn paper and a few kind words into a care card for a senior.
Let’s make one together ↓A little creativity. A lot of care.

FROM BLANK PAPER TO A KIND MESSAGE
One thoughtful step
at a time.
Follow the six steps, or choose the part you need a hand with.
STEP 01 OF 06
Gather a few simple supplies.
For this example, start with one 10 × 7-inch sheet of paper or cardstock, markers or colored pencils, and a pen with dark ink. A glue stick and colored paper are optional.
Set everything on a clear table. Choose colors that feel cheerful and leave space for your message.

STEP 02 OF 06
Give your card a beginning.
Place the 10 × 7-inch sheet horizontally. Bring the right short edge over to meet the left short edge, align the corners, and press the center crease flat. Turn the closed card so the fold is on the left: it now measures 5 × 7 inches and opens like a book.
Fold just once. The two panels should be equal, with their corners and outer edges lined up. Opened flat, the card is still the original 10 × 7-inch sheet.

STEP 03 OF 06
Make the front feel welcoming.
Keep the closed 5 × 7-inch card upright with the fold on the left. Draw a pink flower on the lower half, then add “Thinking of you” above it. You can also choose your own design.
Use the sample cards below for color and layout inspiration. Make the design your own, and keep small decorations securely attached.

STEP 04 OF 06
Add the part that matters most.
Open the card to its full 10 × 7-inch size and write on the inside right-hand page: a warm hello, a short kind thought, and a friendly closing. Two or three sincere sentences are plenty.
For example: “Hello! I enjoyed making this card for you. I hope it brings a smile to your day. Sending warm wishes, Jeemin.”

STEP 05 OF 06
Read it with care.
Check spelling, make sure the ink is dry, and read your message aloud. Is the writing clear? Does the card feel friendly and personal?
Sign with your first name. Leave out your phone number, address, and social media handles. Let any glue dry fully before closing the card.

STEP 06 OF 06
Help your kindness reach someone.
Confirm the collection or delivery instructions with your organizer or recipient community before sending your card.
Ask about envelopes, acceptable decorations, mailing details, and any other guidelines. Keep your finished card clean and flat until it is delivered.

YOUR CARD CAN LOOK LIKE YOU
So many ways
to say “I care.”
Use these cards as a starting point: try a big paper heart, a flower made from colored paper, or a sky full of stars.
- Pick one idea. A simple design leaves room for your words.
- Add a warm greeting. “Thinking of you” works beautifully.
- Make it readable. Use larger letters and ink that stands out.
Your kindness is the most important part.
