Letters With Love Service Projects

If you would like to contribute some time and creativity, here are some projects that students, families and social organizations can have fun with. We would appreciate the participation and send you a thank you note. A large amount of items done by school class(es), Scouts, home schoolers, youth groups, or social groups young & old would get a certificate of appreciation.
Decorated ziplock bags:
MUST be Ziplock brand with zippers, because they transport well and last better. We use then to send hand sinitizers and cards in. The soldiers then use them to keep items they want to keep sand free.
Instructions are simple: Use bright colored sharpie pens and be creative on a gal or quart sized bag. Acceptable phrases that are supportive like "we're praying for you" or "we support you" or "we're proud of you" are fine. But the main idea is to make the bag fun and happy to give it's new owner a smile.
Letters, poems and stories:
Anything heart felt that is supportive, positive and caring. Jokes are good, they all need a good laugh. You write them and send them to us, we'll see that they get to a soldier. If you would like a soldier to contact you, please add your contact information to your letter, poem or story.
Collecting cards:
Some thing we need and would love to have help with. As long as the Christmas card has an envelope and is store bought condition we can use it. So ask around for donations. Maybe someone didn't use all the cards they bought. Say "Please" and give them sad puppy dog eyes.;) This is a good service project for youngsters.
